About Us

A Jubilee Ministry is a ministry of joint discipleship in Christ with poor and oppressed people, wherever they are found, to meet basic human needs and to build a just society.

St. Elizabeth’s derives its name from St. Elizabeth of Hungary (1207-1231 A.D.) who committed her life to serving the poor and the sick. The Center began its ministry in 2001 and was housed in several different locations before finding a home at St. Luke’s Cathedral in 2007.

St. Elizabeth’s Jubilee Center is sponsored bhttps://youtu.be/SESNsFGMGsEy eight Episcopal churches in the greater Portland area and is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Maine. We partner with local schools, other faith communities, and local businesses and community groups to serve the people of the Portland.
